About the photographer
I'm a Tokyo-based portrait and event photographer from California. It's always been a love of mine to capture people and pets to preserve memories and tell stories. Sakura (cherry blossom) season signals the awakening of nature from its winter dormancy and reminds us to slow down and relish in the fleeting beauty of the world. It's a beautiful time for portraits. Mini-sessions give you a taste of how I work. I strive to make each of my clients feel comfortable and walk away with shots that surprise and delight them. FAQ
What should I expect?
Expect a warm smile, positivity, and lots of fun! My friends will tell you that I'm a total people person and extrovert. This is why I enjoy taking portraits; it's a beautiful opportunity to co-create with my clients. If you're nervous, I get it. I'll make it as casual and relaxed as possible for you.
Where are we meeting?
I'll be scouting out the best spot in the park for our session. You'll get detailed information on location before your session.
When will I get the photos?
The day of our session, I'll send a preview gallery for you to choose your selections from. After your selection is confirmed, final edited images will be delivered within 2-3 days.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel good! Seriously. Wear what you feel comfortable in and brings joy to your face. It's best to avoid plain white or black clothing and stripes or overcomplicated patterns. Equally, avoid wearing anything that doesn't seem to want to stay in place, bunches up, or gets a lot of wrinkles. Comfortable shoes is helpful for outdoor shoots, but feel free to bring a pair for camera. We will not have time for an outfit change, but I welcome any props/jackets/accessories to spice up the shoot! I'll have a bag to store any items you bring.
Do you photoshop?
I trust that you have reviewed my portfolio and are hiring me for my artistic style and aesthetic. I will use my artistic judgment when it comes to editing and retouching. Anything outside of my natural style will be subject to an extra editing charge starting at ¥5,000 (including but not limited to removing elements, fixing clothing, etc).
Can I purchase more photos?
Your mini-session includes 5 high-resolution edited digital images, but you'll have the option to purchase extra images starting at ¥1,200 each.
Do you do makeup & hair?
I do not, but I have an awesome recommendation that I can share. Please include in your message when booking.
How can I pay?
This is detailed in the invoice you'll receive after booking. Payment options include bank transfer, PayPay, PayPal, or cash.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
A 50% retainer is required to confirm your booking and is non-refundable. Cancellations and reschedules are available up to 7 days before your session.
What if it rains?
I will re-book all sessions for the next weekend, March 31-April 3. If needed, location will also be changed with ample notice.
